What Warhammer (fantasy AND 40k) race or faction do you most identify with, is most "you" or is just your favorite? And why is that?

For me it's Orks... both in fantasy and 40k... Orks all the way!!!

As for the reason, I can't really pin it down myself. I'm an extremely nonviolent guy and I generally veer more towards wizards and spellcasters when it comes to video games or tabletop rpgs, not beefy warriors. For some reason though I have a primal attraction to the warhammer orks. I dunno, maybe it's BECAUSE of my pacifistic nature that they appeal so much to my dark, secret, subconscious side

For me the Tau would definitely be my favorites. I’ve always thought the 40K setting is so dark you don’t really have any “good” guys, for example, The Imperium, the de facto protagonists, are far from good and have always reminded me more of the Spanish inquisition. The Tau on the other hand are the least of all evils. Yeah, sure, they have kind of a morally dubious colonial mindset, but all things considered they are the most peaceful and enlightened of the 40K races.
As far as WH fantasy is concerned, I’ve never played it and don’t know as much about the lore, but if I had to choose I’d go with lizardmen. Not for any particularly moral or psychological reason… I just like anthropomorphized dinosaurs

after dozen tabletop encounters ive been left with no choice then to choose a race that suited my irl lifestyle.
My friends allways refered to me as city rat. Im used to wonder around in pursuit of new street experience.
Since Im good enough with household and lil'bit of tinkering you can guess i go with Skaven

I too am a big chaos fan (especially of grandpappy Nurgle) and for 40k there is no other choice for me.

In fantasy on the other hand, chaos comes in second to the Skaven! I will never understand why there are no Skaven in the 41st millennium. It would be soooo fucking cool if there was an army of sci-fi Skavens. I can just imagine the futuristic stealth suits they would wear, the gauss rifles they would wield and the lightly armored speeders they would pilot. In my mind they would be something like Orks meet Dark Eldar... in a tiny mousy package
