I loved Vampire Academy, after long hours at work and than my apprenticeship and than painting I usually need something light and entertaining, this was perfect

Yeah, and just like she has the right to have a guilty pleasure, which by it's definition implies that the book is garbage and reading it is shameful, I have the right to mock the shit out of people who read said garbage. It's called free speech

A couple of years back I read this book



I really liked it but at the time the bookstore near my house didn't have the sequel, and later I just kinda forgot about it and never got around to buying it. Flash forward to 2014, The Strain TV show comes out and I'm blown away. I immediately buy the second and third book but am torn as to whether to re read the first book or not. Whether to wait for the second season to come out so I can watch it whole right after reading the second book and compare. The great procrastinator that I am, I still haven't cracked open those books. That is until people on this site got my vampire blood pumping again
Now I'm starting The Fall



I plan to continue immediately with The Night Eternal (the third book in the series) so I can then watch the series in peace and see if it is up to snuff... although considering how well they adapted the first season I guess it's gonna be awesone!

It was based on a book? I had no idea! And it was written by Del Toro himself... now that I will HAVE to check out
I loved the show even if it at times got a little too slow paced for my taste and I adored the monstrous, almost alien, depiction of vampires in it. Much less Von Carstein vampires and much more Strigoi vampires for all you WH fans out there They are even called Strigoi in the show
