I have been talking to friend about different kinds of music people in the alternative like in the past couple of decades...
Well, the question of Nightcore was raised. WTF is that? I it even music? Why is it widely (but not always) considered to be a part of a goth music scene? And who in the name of all that is good taste listens to that crap?! Those are all questions my friend raised on the slightest mention of the genre.
Well, I do like it It is fast, up beat, happy, and delightfully moronic.
But opinions tend to be all over the place when any kind of music is debated, so shoot yours like we are all interested!

All i know is that my recent history still echoes in very happy moments..friendly but blurry souls that ministered me, without a shame on each gathering
So fucking outrageous pop up events were graced in that beat.
Not that I have the need for more . ah memories

I think nightcore is beyond cool! I usually listen to it while cleaning out my room or if I have to go out on a rainy day and generally if I have to do something that I don't wanna. Such a positive vibe and happy Alvin and the Chipmunks voices, it always puts smile on my face

Do you prefer original nightcore songs or nightcored famous songs? I prefer nigtcore versions of metal and some hip-hop and pop songs that are familiar to me, but still funny and cool.

I just tried listening to a bit of this music...
It is horrible! It sounds like robots are torturing a squirrel with a broken washing machine running in the background....
How can anyone enjoy this!? Or maybe I'm to old and "youngsters music" started sounding horrible to me

I have read a research paper on correlation of sound and stress. It states that women after reaching adulthood have higher sensitivity to high pitch noises. Apparently, our bodies think of high pitch tones as a baby crying and that makes us stressed. It is like an alarm in our heads.
On the other hand, girls before and during puberty and extended development period (from around 15 to 25 years of age) perceive high pitch tones like invitation to play and form a group, and that high pitch makes them happy and exited.
I don't like nightcore at all, it is to fast and to stressful to me... Now I know why

Not just the music
I never bumped into a paper like that, but it makes sense... I fell of track with music trends when I finished uni. All the chores, job, kids, building my own company... And as soon as my back was turned, 5 new music genres with 50 sub-genres each, popped up i don't have time to keep up with all of that

I flip to original nightcore! I also flip to nightcore covers! Especially to metal covers
I will not comment on your "this music is not for adults" attitude You are never to old or to adult for good music! Screw the papers that tell you that and enjoy the fun

Scarlett...you would be amazed how younger brains can process this. I was also in disbelief when I saw one young mother carry her kid to nightcore party. After seeing the kid response was more than positive, now im considering to lossen up a bit and try it myself.

There is no age span or limit in music, i can verify that

I simply don't like it and I can't say I haven't tried
I can listen to death metal for hours on end but this is just a bit to much for me.
But if someone likes it, go for it ! It is not a bad music, just my personal opinion is that it is a bit overly enthusiastic for my taste.
Maybe when I need to make my house spotless really fast because guests are arriving
