Working goths of the forum: How do you dress when you go to work?
I know that corporate goth is a way to go, but I'm interested to see how much you can stretch that in different professions and countries.
Do you go with corporate clothing in dark colors and maybe some details here and there or you can have a more full got/metal look?

As far as goth style goes, corpgoth must be my favorite. And this is out of pure spite from my side. Please, let me explain myself. Every alternative person (not just goths) are always faced with Age boundaries, first we are told that our style, sens of aesthetics, way we think and the way we are is 'just a teenage faze' and than after we turn 20 or so, we are constantly bombarded with everybody's and a their dog's "opinion' that we are now to old for this kind of "look and behavior" and that we should "grow up".
What sets us apart from all the "normal people" is our view of the world that demands certain amount (and it is not a small amount) of intelligence, self-education and complete absence of fear that we won't be accepted or that we will be labeled as "strange". Why on earth would I, as a person that has all that, ever wanted to even pretend that I'm less intelligent than I am, that I'm narrow minded if I'm not and that I need outside validation of everybody and their dog's if I don't. Just so that I can appear "normal" or "adult" .
Corpgoth is pissing in everybody's tea, we look "normal", "adult" and office appropriate, but we are still visible as alternative and nobody can say a word. We can still see each other in a room full of regular people and know with whom we can have a quality conversation.

I would wear it every day! I feel like a million dollars in that type of see trough and high heels look! And I believe I attract a lot f attention

I'm interested in your work/school outfit habits. I do belong to another generation and for someone my age, rules are much more strict... But I still have a dragon key-chain and little voodoo skulls on my notebook I also wear mostly black... But I'm interested to see what younger generations deem work appropriate and cool at the same time. Editorials have been most helpful.
Do any of you actually wear stuff like this or you just like the style?

I work for Althemy so I don't have to compromise my gothness in any way I have short purple hair with undercut, I wear mostly handmade jewelry made by my mum and run around in anything from corpgoth (because I like the style), skater style or even sweatpants if I want to be comfortable But I got lucky
On my previous job I had to look "normal" So I just had medium length blond hair and went all nu goth and corpgoth all the time. But I was wearing it full on and enjoyed the fact nobody can say anything because I was decent

I'm still a student so I'm not forced to wear any type corp outfit, I can wear whatever I want And I'm so happy for it!

I have decided to do a little experiment!
I will try corpgoth every day for a week starting Monday, to see if I can pull it off
And most importantly, is it functional for a city life, public transport and what are the reactions... I already got my hair white instead of purple

I find this very disturbing while observing you ladies argue around plethora OF choices you have.
In meantime we guys suck, big time.
Not more than dozen lame labels (except my fav. Crytoflesh and G.Serpentine).
We cannot maintain dress code at all becouse beside utilitarian items there is only usual Gothic stuff really.!>!

Only true Corp. I dug up was some smart accessories from Cyberoptix. Girls, gimme some break or tip perhaps
