I can't get enough of Blizzards plots and stories! Some might call them derivative and I do admit they can sometimes seem thrown together helter skelter but I just love 'em
In that sense however I get OP's argument, sometimes gameplay and plot just can't seem to get on the same page but for me that doesn't have to spell doom. If you can have fun with a game it's done its job, whether that fun was had by living through an amazing plot or just good gameplay.

Not meaning to ruffle any feathers but Blizzards plots are shit. I love love LOVE their games, for a couple of years of my life I lived and breathed Diablo II, but their stories are generic and unoriginal at best and just a royal clustefuck at worst. This doesn't mean their games are bad, far from it, but let's not kid ourselves as to the quality of their imagination
