The most effective type of customization your site can offer you is the Layout Style option. It changes the structure of your home page, allowing certain type of content to stand out from the others. Currently, Style Switcher offers seven different layout types, three of them revolving about Blog posts, one about Photos, one about Videos, and two of them being hybrides for optimal presentation of mixed media:
All seven layouts feature a three-picture slider just below the section bar of your site.
Style Switcher is accessed through the icon in the top left corner on your site's Home page. On the top of it is the Layout Styles option.

News layout offers up to 10 blog posts tiled on the Home page, with the standard info vertical sidebar section, like Most Popular, Members etc. In addition, a new sidebar will appear for any different media section activated in the control panel, e.g. Photos, Videos etc.

Max News layout conforms to another type of Blog tiling - it can accommodate up to 6 Blog posts on the Home page, while all the sidebars have moved to the bottom of the screen, and now show only the Members, Most Popular and About sections. Both hybrid layouts, Max News Gallery and Max News Video have the same Blog post tiling layout as the Max News.

The third of the Blog-oriented layouts offer looks about the same as News layout - up to 10 Blog posts on the Home page and vertical sidebar on the right, but offers a more comfortable fitting of the Blog posts, to emphasize their cover pictures.

This layout shows only photos on the Home page, and in two various modes; In the 3x3 grid reside photos from the albums marked as Frontpage photos, while below the grid, up to 10 photos from the Photos section, uploaded as a standalone instead of an album are previewed. Bottom bars appear as in the Max News layout.

Video layout previews 9 videos from your Video section in a 3x3 grid, much like the Frontpage gallery grid. Videos can be marked or unmarked for appearing on the Home page. Bottom screen bars are present, as in Max News and Gallery layouts.

A layout which fuses six-tile Blog alignment with a 3x3 Frontpage Gallery grid. This is perhaps a most commonly used layout on the platform, mainly because it fuses good Blog presentation with the Photos section highlights. Contains standard utilities bar in the bottom of the screen.

Same-looking layout as Max News Gallery, except that it contains a 3x3 Frontpage video grid instead of a photo one. Bottom screen bars included.

With this variety of layouts, you can pick the one which will achieve the best presentation of your content in no time. To find out how choosing the right layout style can help you prepare your site for publishing, check out How To List Your Site.
