Check out this episode of Penn & Teller's Bullshit concerning Peta. Before, I thought Peta was just obnoxious, only after seeing this did I realize how deeply disturbing their philosophy and practices really are.

I tried to stay away from meat as I really hate the industrial meat/dairy production and inhuman treatment of animals.
I managed to not touch it for a year, but I ended up eating garbage food and a lot of bread, as I hate to cook mind you. I went back to eating it, but in very small quantities, mostly fish and chicken.

Yeah, staying away from processed meat doesn't mean you are staying away from processed food. Unless you go into a forest and pull your veggies directly from the ground you are going to have a hard time not eating anything that has been processed or chemically modified in some way or another.
Me myself, I couldn't stay away from the tasty moo moos, chickies and piggies even if you threatened me with violence

Meat is murder plain and simple! Free range or in factory slaughter houses, it's still murder, just without the torture beforehand.
For vegetables just go organic and voila, you are living healthily

Oh you fucking people! Have you ever heard of this one thing called the food chain? If eating meat is murder does that mean our planet is filled with mass murdering serial killers? No, I don't mean us humans, I'm talking about all the lions, tigers, eagles, wolves and other carnivores and omnivores in the animal kingdom? Better yet, if eating meat is murder and chickens eat worms doesn't that mean that us killing chickens is not murder but just serving justice by way of capital punishment?
