I don't think social network has any right to ask you for an ID... Or I'm just too old and don't get that shit...

Exactly, I actually wrote that same thing to them, even if they were police or some government facility, I can still refuse to give them any kind of ID unless they have a warrant.

They let you without an ID?! Really?

No I actually gave them a document that states my name and my picture, and date of birth. There is a list of documents that you can provide. Oterwise they wouldn't let me use my account. I wasn't bothered with not having an account, because I could have easily create another one but I was bothered I couldn't run the page for my blog :/ so I gave them some sort of document (membership card).
